St. Dymphna Learning Academy
Empowering Minds, One Step at a Time
The Learning Academy offers three intentional programs that combine the structure of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with the connection-based principles of Conscious Discipline, creating a safe, nurturing environment where neurodiverse children can grow in confidence, communication, and emotional control.
Little Learners Academy (9:00 AM–1:00 PM) serves preschool through kindergarten students in small, nurturing groups called Coves (5 children per cove). Each cove meets twice weekly—Cove 1 on Mondays & Wednesdays and Cove 2 on Tuesdays & Thursdays—for sensory-rich exploration, early academics, social play, and self-regulation skills. ABA-based instruction, visual supports, and Conscious Discipline routines help children feel secure and ready to learn. Families receive a monthly newsletter outlining upcoming goals, themes, and at-home connection ideas.
Brainiacs (Tuesdays–Thursdays, 4:00–5:30 PM) is a Conscious Discipline–based enrichment group for school-age learners that integrates movement, mindfulness, and emotional awareness. Each session includes brain review circle time, social problem-solving games, and ABA-informed emotional regulation practice. Children learn to identify feelings, use coping tools, and work cooperatively with peers. Families receive take-home guides with activities and visuals to continue practicing the week’s skills at home.
Brave Minds Social Group (Mondays & Fridays, 4:00–5:30 PM) provides small-group tutoring and social-emotional coaching for 3–5 students at a time. Using ABA-based teaching, functional academics, and guided social play, children strengthen executive functioning, emotional communication, and real-world coping abilities. Parents receive weekly take-home supports reinforcing each session’s focus, including prompts, visuals, and reflection questions to use at home.
Across all programs, The Learning Academy emphasizes movement, connection, and mindful structure. Every child is met where they are, supported through consistency and compassion, and celebrated for every step toward independence and emotional growth—both in session and at home.
